Key Responsibilities

  • •Operate a vehicle according to applicable state and federal transportation laws, transporting loads safely and on time while obeying traffic laws and safety regulations.
  • •Maneuver truck and trailer into loading and unloading areas, follow loading crew signals, and assist with loading/unloading using specialized equipment when warranted.
  • •Maintain shipping documentation (invoices, shipping bills of lading, and required paperwork) and deliver delivery documentation to the appropriate staff.
  • •Perform routine service checks on trucks (e.g., oil, water, gasoline, air) and report maintenance malfunctions to the Shipping Supervisor.
  • •Arrange trailers in shipping yards for optimum loading patterns and perform other assigned duties.

Key Requirements

  • •Hold a commercial drivers license (Class A CDL) appropriate for the vehicle and load requirements.
  • •Pass DOT physical, background check, and required federal/state transportation drug testing (safety sensitive role).
  • •Be at least 21 years old and able to operate a company vehicle.
  • •Maintain strong interpersonal and customer service skills when speaking professionally with customers and staff at delivery points.
  • •Meet physical requirements including prolonged sitting, lifting/moving up to 40 pounds, and traveling frequently.
