Key Responsibilities

  • •Support project proposals by defining requirements, scope, resourcing, programme, and budget for delivery.
  • •Create and maintain project documentation including project plans, cost forecasts, risk registers, and schedules for smaller projects and support senior managers on larger work.
  • •Monitor progress and drive delivery against agreed timelines.
  • •Manage day-to-day project costs (time, budgets, forecasts, and spend) and ensure work stays aligned with progress.
  • •Ensure health and safety requirements for site visits, support contract administration, and proactively manage change and risk while coordinating multi-disciplinary teams and stakeholders.

Key Requirements

  • •Experience as an Assistant Project Manager or Project Manager within a project or PMO environment in environmental or sustainability sectors.
  • •Strong programme management understanding, including work breakdown structures, dependencies, and critical path; experience interpreting MS Project and Primavera P6 outputs.
  • •Commercial awareness to manage budgets, track performance, and support change control; ability to deliver projects within budget.
  • •Confident written and verbal communicator who can keep project teams and stakeholders informed.
  • •Working towards or holding membership of a relevant professional body (e.g., PMI, APM, MIEnvSc, MIEMA, MRICS).
