Key Responsibilities

  • •Develop algorithmic and machine-learning systems for delivery-time prediction across Deliveroo’s marketplace.
  • •Own ETA models powering the ETA a customer sees and ETA-related signals used for rider allocation.
  • •Build models used by the dispatcher to support automatic assignment of riders to orders.
  • •Improve prediction quality and reliability across markets, order types, and delivery conditions.
  • •Productionise end-to-end ML solutions from concept to shipped code and measurable impact, collaborating with cross-functional squads.

Key Requirements

  • •Minimum 3+ years of experience as an ML Engineer or Data Scientist, with strong ability to write high-quality production code in Python.
  • •Experience applying machine learning and algorithmic solutions to complex business problems in production.
  • •Strong understanding of machine learning fundamentals and ability to select and apply appropriate modeling techniques.
  • •Experience building predictive models for forecasting, time estimation, or real-time decision-making problems.
  • •Experience taking models through to production with grounding in software engineering principles.
