Job Summary

Champion daily manufacturing performance and long-term operational improvements from within the production floor. Drive process capability, refine tooling and process concepts, and mentor technical staff. Lead technical projects from definition through implementation, partnering with new product introduction teams and managing validation (IQ/OQ/PQ), continuous improvement, and investigations using lean principles and statistical methods to stabilize, simplify, and improve manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities

•Promote a safety-first mentality across production areas, equipment, processes, and procedures.
•Provide guidance and day-to-day direction to technicians and engineers on assigned activities and best practices.
•Utilize lean process technology and automation during manufacturing execution to drive cost leadership, quality, and customer satisfaction.
•Lead projects from definition through implementation, including timelines, milestones, reporting, and documentation of lessons learned.
•Lead process validation (IQ/OQ/PQ) and drive process improvement and waste elimination using lean principles, DOE, SPC, and root-cause analysis.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor of science in a related engineering field from a four-year college or university.
•5+ years of engineering experience in a medical device or contract medical device manufacturing environment.
•Working knowledge of medical device manufacturing techniques including tipping, thermoplastic injection molding, and extrusion.
•Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Minitab (or other statistical analysis software).
•Proven experience leading IQ/OQ/PQ and working to ISO 13485 / FDA 21 CFR 820.
