Key Responsibilities

•Design and engineer primary and secondary structures using CAD; ensure performance in demanding operational environments.
•Perform Finite Element Analysis (FEA) for static, dynamic, thermal, fatigue, and vibration loads and interpret results to drive design decisions.
•Specify and qualify materials and manufacturing processes to meet structural requirements, cost targets, and production scalability.
•Prototype, fabricate, and validate prototypes; design and execute structural qualification tests (e.g., shock, vibration, environmental) and analyze test data for design refinements.
•Collaborate with Mechanical, Electrical, Systems, and Manufacturing teams to ensure seamless integration of mechanical structures with electronics and other subsystems, optimizing for performance, manufacturability (DFM/DFA), and reliability.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and 3+ years' experience in structural design and analysis for complex mechanical systems.
•Proficiency in advanced FEA (static, dynamic, thermal, fatigue, vibration) using ANSYS, Nastran, Abaqus.
•Proficient CAD experience (SolidWorks, CATIA, NX) and GD&T.
•Solid understanding of materials (metals, composites) and manufacturing processes.
•Experience designing and executing structural verification tests and environmental testing; ability to analyze results for design refinement.
