Job Summary

Develop and optimize reliability strategies for a fleet of mobile mining equipment to maximize asset availability while reducing maintenance costs and unplanned downtime. Lead defect elimination using Rio Tinto’s standardized approach, conduct failure and root-cause analyses, and identify drivers of recurring equipment outages. Track equipment KPIs, analyze failure trends and maintenance costs using telemetry and OEM systems, and recommend technical changes and preventive maintenance plan improvements.

•Develop and implement fleet reliability programs.
•Perform failure analyses and root-cause analyses to address recurring equipment stoppages.
•Set risk-based maintenance strategies and optimize preventive maintenance plans.
•Use equipment KPIs, failure trends, maintenance costs, telemetry data, and OEM systems to drive improvements.
•Provide technical support to maintenance supervisors and planners, participate in reliability audits, and support continuous technological awareness of mining equipment developments.
