Key Responsibilities

  • •Safely operate vehicles and transport loads on required routes in a timely manner while obeying all traffic laws and safety regulations.
  • •Load and unload equipment and materials, following loading crew signals and using specialized equipment when needed.
  • •Maintain and deliver required paperwork (signed invoices, shipping bills of lading, and other documentation) to the appropriate staff once routes are complete.
  • •Perform routine service checks (oil, water, gasoline, air) and report maintenance malfunctions to the Shipping Supervisor.
  • •Arrange trailers in shipping yards and perform other related duties as assigned.

Key Requirements

  • •Hold a valid commercial drivers license or chauffeur’s license appropriate for the vehicle weight operated.
  • •Pass background and drug testing required by federal and/or state DOT regulations.
  • •Pass DOT physical for vehicles driven over 10k lbs.
  • •Ability to lift and move up to 40 pounds and handle prolonged periods sitting in a trailer cab.
  • •Must be able to travel frequently and remain focused in a busy environment.
