Key Responsibilities

  • •Pick up and deliver eggs from chicken houses to the egg facility and perform inspections.
  • •Set up and test egg sanitizer before each egg pull; perform egg inventory practices and record inventory.
  • •Observe eggs on conveyors through sanitizers, including shell color/texture and external characteristics (e.g., cracks, discolorations).
  • •Place hatching eggs on buggies and in labeled boxes for internal/external orders.
  • •Operate and clean egg sanitizer; remove waste; clean and sanitize egg room/connecting areas/crates/flats and vehicles; fumigate rooms; help maintain room temperature and humidity controls.

Key Requirements

  • •At least 6 months of consecutive work history with one employer and no employment gaps greater than 6 months in the past 36 months (gap increases to 18 months for layoffs or child/elder care).
  • •Previous agricultural or production experience is preferred.
  • •Must shower, change clothing and footwear, and follow biosecurity requirements; no jewelry (except medical ID jewelry) and willingness to sign biosecurity/animal welfare agreements.
  • •Must be willing and able to perform physical requirements, including regularly lifting/moving up to 40 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
  • •Follow safety policies and wear required PPE; be able to work in wet, slippery and hot/dry/dusty/wet/cold environments.
