Key Responsibilities

•Act as the technical owner of a service or platform end to end, including stakeholder engagement, requirements, roadmap, design, implementation, sustainment, and evolution.
•Design operational systems with failure-mode analysis, blast-radius thinking, observability, capacity, recovery, secure configuration, and multi-domain constraints.
•Produce automation and tooling in Python, Bash, or Go that others safely adopt and reuse.
•Isolate non-obvious faults using infrastructure-as-code and observability, and improve the environment through each iteration.
•Carry ISM/PSPF accreditation work for the service, and mentor others in reliability practice while partnering with software, autonomy, and maritime engineering teams.

•8+ years in infrastructure, reliability, platform, or DevOps roles with demonstrated experience as the technical owner of a service or platform.
•Technical ownership from requirements and roadmap through design, implementation, and sustainment.
•Deep systems knowledge across multiple stack layers with the ability to discuss trade-offs and failure history from real operations.
•Fluent scripting and automation in Python, Bash, or Go, producing reusable tooling others adopt.
•Production experience with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform) and container orchestration (Kubernetes), plus ability as an Australian citizen to obtain and maintain an Australian NV2 security clearance.
