Key Responsibilities

  • •Work with the Site Safety Manager and safety team to lead workplace safety initiatives for distribution center operations.
  • •Ensure OSHA compliance including PITs, new hire and ongoing safety training, Lockout/Tagout, machine guarding, chemical safety, and OSHA 300 logs.
  • •Serve as a visible safety presence on the production floor: identify and address safety risks and support safer forklift operations through training, observation, and coaching.
  • •Assist management during accident or injury investigations and root cause analysis; conduct audits and complete after-action responses.
  • •Coordinate safety with associates and ensure contractors/visitors follow safety policies; support the site emergency action plan and conduct Job Safety Analysis (JSA).

Key Requirements

  • •Minimum 3 years of experience in a distribution center environment, or 4-year degree in a safety related field.
  • •Preferred safety certification: GSP, ASP, OHST, etc.
  • •Expertise in OSHA compliance, especially with powered industrial trucks, lockout/tagout, and strain/sprain prevention.
  • •Superior communication and presentation skills with ability to influence across all levels of the organization.
  • •Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Google apps (Gmail, Drive, Sheets, etc.)
