Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead the preliminary and detailed design of complex bridges, culverts, retaining walls, and other civil structures for all levels of government.
  • •Perform and coordinate structural analysis and design.
  • •Manage bridge engineering projects, coordinate design teams, and support project management and technical teams across WSP.
  • •Prepare engineering drawings, specifications, and reports; provide QA/QC and peer-review services for designs and drawings.
  • •Review shop drawings and provide engineering support during construction, while contributing to proposals and providing technical guidance to intermediate and junior engineers.

Key Requirements

  • •University degree in Civil Engineering.
  • •Professional Engineer (licenced with PEO) with 7-12 years of demonstrated experience in structural design and bridge engineering in Canada.
  • •Masters degree in Structural Engineering (asset).
  • •Ability to work and converse in French (asset).
  • •Proficiency in structural analysis software for bridge design and assessment, with strong knowledge of Canadian design codes and standards.
