Key Responsibilities

  • •Design, build, test, deploy, and operate backend services, APIs, and automation that BI platforms depend on
  • •Automate BI platform lifecycle end to end (provisioning, metadata, permissions, migrations, archival, and validation)
  • •Build integrations between BI platforms and the wider ecosystem (warehouses, identity providers, orchestration, CI/CD, and internal developer tooling)
  • •Improve availability, observability, performance, scalability, and security of systems you own in production
  • •Raise the engineering bar across service design, code review, testing, CI/CD, documentation, and developer experience

Key Requirements

  • •3+ years of professional software engineering experience building and operating production backend, platform, or infrastructure systems
  • •Read/maintain well-tested code in Python, with comfort working with SQL plus data modelling/warehousing concepts
  • •Experience building and owning production APIs, integrations, or automation with strong judgement on service boundaries, authentication, data contracts, and failure modes
  • •Hands-on with CI/CD, containers and Kubernetes, observability, debugging, and incident response
  • •Hands-on with AI tools (LLMs, agentic workflows, AI-assisted development) and judgement about where they help
