Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

  • •Operate equipment and perform automation and preventative maintenance to minimize downtime.
  • •Ensure production runs are completed on time, in full, while meeting quality standards, and assist/give guidance to helpers.
  • •Conduct pre- and post-inspection of packaging equipment, including calibration, using job plans, procedures, and manuals.
  • •Troubleshoot and repair equipment failures to keep production downtime low.
  • •Complete required documentation, run production reports, and maintain/store department inventory while following Food Safety, GMP, and Health & Safety policies.

Key Requirements

  • •Post-secondary education in Mechanical or Electro-Mechanical Engineering Diploma (or equivalent) or relevant experience.
  • •6 months to 1 year of experience operating machinery in a food processing, manufacturing, or service industry.
  • •Knowledge of ProSeal (GTE/GTR) and Loma Metal Detectors is an asset.
  • •Familiarity with MHE operation (e.g., walkie, forklift, stacker, reach).
  • •Ability to stand for prolonged periods, work in a refrigerated environment (0°C to 4°C), and push/pull/lift up to 50 lbs.
