Care for egg-laying flocks and ensure correct egg collection, identification, recording, and flock monitoring in the Ped Sister/Super Sister houses. You’ll perform daily welfare and environment tasks (feeding, weighing, sample collection, bedding/nest upkeep), help maintain biosecure operations, and handle routine sanitation and equipment cleaning. Key Responsibilities

•Collect eggs, place them in plastic flats, mark per line identification standards, and record the number of eggs laid per flock.
•Provide daily flock care: calculate pounds per pen, weigh with the hopper scale, distribute feed to hoppers, and collect weekly lab samples.
•Monitor flock for signs of injury or illness and report to the lead/manager; collect, record, and dispose of flock mortality.
•Maintain flock environment by flushing water lines weekly, maintaining pen bedding and nests, and clearing dust from equipment.
•Perform additional assigned duties such as operating water hose, maintaining foot pans/hand sanitizer, basic vehicle checks, and keeping the work area clean and organized.

Key Requirements

•Must have at least 12 months of consecutive work history with one employer and no additional job gaps greater than 6 months in the past 36 months (18 months if laid off or providing child/elder care).

•Must be willing to sign an agreement to avoid any avian species and abide by the company Biosecurity and Animal Welfare Guidelines.
•Able to perform physical requirements, including safe lifting techniques and regular lifting/pulling/pushing of egg/crate loads.
•Must be willing to work the posted schedule (Wednesday–Saturday, with potential schedule changes based on production needs).
