Key Responsibilities

  • •Respond to ARFF aviation fire emergencies to prevent/extinguish fires and rescue aircraft crew/passengers using specialist equipment.
  • •Respond to SRFF structural fires and other airbase emergencies (e.g., fuel farms, hazardous storage, storms, gas leaks, burst water mains) using specialist equipment.
  • •Operate as fire vehicle driver/operator, including serviceability checks, vehicle/equipment maintenance, and SCBA cylinder recharging/basic maintenance.
  • •Manage shift-based control room operations: monitor crash alarm/calls/signals, dispatch resources, perform manual system exercises, and maintain operational logs and incident records.
  • •Conduct rescue operations and casualty support, operate firefighting/foam equipment, and maintain readiness of PPE/SCBA, tools, radios, and station equipment environment.

Key Requirements

  • •Minimum 5 years’ experience in fire/rescue services, including two (2) years as a firefighter at an ICAO Category Five (5) airfield or above (or additional fire/rescue experience substituted for education).
  • •Fire and rescue qualifications at least equal to ICAO Firefighter and listed NFPA certifications (including Firefighter I/II and Airport Firefighter).
  • •Valid heavy vehicle operator license in the United Arab Emirates.
  • •Medically fit for the role and able to wear provided PPE (including SCBA and chemical protection) as required.
  • •Proficient in Microsoft Office and computer-based dispatch/control systems; military firefighting experience is required/expected (stated as additional).
