Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform technical calculations and design for building electrical systems from conceptual design through construction administration and post-occupancy.
  • •Be competent in building electrical systems design across multiple project types and markets, including routing engineering assignments.
  • •Stay current on electrical codes and technologies for power, lighting, telecommunications, and fire alarm systems.
  • •Research, develop, design, specify, and witness testing of electrical systems, equipment, components, and materials.
  • •Coordinate with clients and multiple disciplines as the electrical point of contact, manage multiple projects, and mentor/review junior staff.

Key Requirements

  • •BA/BS in Electrical Engineering, Architectural Engineering or similar with 6+ years of related experience (or equivalent).
  • •Professional Engineer (PE) registration.
  • •10+ years of experience designing building electrical systems.
  • •Strong electrical code knowledge including National Electric Code (NEC), Washington State Energy Code (WSEC), Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC), ASHRAE, and IECC.
  • •Experience with power system and lighting calculations, including tools such as SKM, ETAP, Easy Power, Visual, AGI32, or Elumtools (plus strong Revit and CAD experience).
