Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead the delivery of roadway and transportation/municipal projects; oversee project teams for local agencies in Southern California.
  • •Participate in contract negotiations and provide leadership to ensure quality PS&E documents and engineering reports.
  • •Guide staff in project management responsibilities, including financial performance, QA/QC adherence, and risk management.
  • •Develop and mentor Civil Engineering Transportation team; recruit and retain key staff.
  • •Support business development, client engagement, and strategic alliances to secure new work in California.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor's degree in Engineering or closely related discipline; Engineer license required (California preferred)
  • •12+ years of relevant post-education experience in civil engineering and infrastructure design
  • •Ability to lead and grow the civil engineering business; experience as project manager, deputy project manager, construction management or task lead
  • •Ability to work independently with leadership to mid-level to senior team members, with QA/QC adherence
  • •Advanced proficiency with Caltrans Design Development process, Highway Design and Construction practices; proficiency with technical writing and Microsoft Office
