Job Summary

Serve as the primary technical point of contact in the sales cycle, leading discovery through RFIs/RFPs/RFQs and actively participating in POCs with internal and customer/commercial partners. Understand customer security and networking requirements to craft solutions that outperform competitors. Position Fortinet offerings through technical presentations (e.g., whiteboarding and technical papers), manage multiple deals, and maintain accurate CRM activity in Salesforce.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead technical aspects of the sales cycle from RFIs through RFPs/RFQs, including project management and participation in POCs.
•Understand customer technical requirements and build solutions that outperform competitor offerings.
•Act as the primary technical point of contact for customers and partners in close collaboration with the sales partner.
•Continuously deepen knowledge of Fortinet products/solutions and the competitive landscape to support long-lasting protection.
•Maintain accurate customer/prospect activity and technical account information in Salesforce and manage multiple deals effectively.

Key Requirements

•Have strong knowledge of security technologies, especially encryption and authentication, with desirable background in network security, intrusion detection, anti-virus, routing, switching, LAN and WAN.
•Have current or prior experience in a pre-sales engineer role, managing end-to-end technical aspects of deals through technical closure.
•Demonstrate problem-solving skills and how they contributed to key wins.
•Build and maintain customer relationships and communicate technical information to external and internal stakeholders.
•Strong understanding of RADIUS, PKI, IKE, certificates, L2TP, IPSEC, firewall concepts, 802.1Q, and cryptography/protocol terms including MD5, SSH, SSL, SHA1, DES, and 3DES (CISSP beneficial).
