Key Responsibilities

•Patrol sawmill premises, including buildings, equipment areas, and perimeter fencing, to ensure site security.
•Monitor and respond to alarms, investigate disturbances, and report incidents.
•Control access at gates and entry points by verifying credentials of employees, visitors, and contractors.
•Identify and report fire hazards, safety violations, and signs of unauthorized access.
•Support safety compliance by observing and reporting unsafe conditions or behaviors, including fire watch duties as needed for hot work permitting.

Key Requirements

•Physically capable of performing repetitive tasks for long hours (walking, standing, climbing stairs) in an industrial environment.
•Comfortable working around loud noise, dust, moving equipment, and in all weather conditions.
•Previous experience in security or industrial settings is an asset, including operating alarm systems and emergency equipment.
•Strong observation and communication skills with a keen eye for detail and safety.
•Dependable, adaptable, and alert—able to respond quickly and effectively in any situation.
