Job Summary

Lead and scale n8n’s Core Experience engineering organization across multiple teams (AI, Nodes, Community, Adoption & Retention) in a remote-first European environment. Set technical direction, drive AI-native product development, and partner with Product/Design to deliver high-impact user experiences while maintaining high engineering standards and speed.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead and develop multiple engineering teams across Core Experience, shaping the organization for scale across a multi-team area that includes established product surfaces and AI-focused teams.
•Foster a high-performance, high-ownership culture where engineers can do ambitious work, grow quickly, and stay closely connected to product impact.
•Set technical direction across your area, helping teams make sound architectural decisions and trade-offs, and translate strategy into clear priorities and execution.
•Partner with Product, Design, and Engineering leadership to translate strategy into execution and ensure meaningful outcomes with balance of speed, quality, and maintainability.
•Shape AI-native product development by guiding teams building AI-powered experiences and enabling customers to build powerful AI workflows and agents themselves.

•Engineering leadership at scale: several years of experience leading multiple engineering teams and directly managing Engineering Managers in a high-growth product organization.
•Technical strategy and roadmap ownership: ability to set direction across a broad product area and translate strategy into clear priorities and outcomes.
•Strong technical credibility: a background that enables meaningful contributions to architecture discussions and technical decision-making.
•Coaching and people leadership: proven ability to develop leaders, give clear feedback, and grow teams in ownership and performance.
•Product engineering experience: led product engineering teams delivering meaningful user-facing experiences in a fast-moving SaaS environment.
