Job Summary

Build and validate advanced anti-money laundering (AML) machine learning models to support customer screening, transaction monitoring, and AML customer risk rating across multiple product lines. Lead AML model lifecycle governance through methodology validation, code reviews, documentation, and performance reporting. Partner with AML Governance to deliver data for risk assessments and internal/external audits, while developing dashboards and maintaining AML data infrastructure, architecture, and integrations.

Key Responsibilities

•Assist the Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Compliance program with AML model development, implementation, optimization, assessment, and validation for risk-based customer screening, transaction screening, monitoring, and risk rating.
•Maintain, test, and configure AML vendor solutions to ensure conceptually sound design, proper implementation, and acceptable model performance.
•Research, compile, and evaluate large data sets to assess quality, integrity, completeness, and suitability for AML model development.
•Architect and lead advanced AML models using machine learning and statistical modeling for supervised and unsupervised learning.
•Perform AML governance and quality control across the AML model lifecycle, including code reviews, methodology validation, performance metrics, documentation, and reporting to senior management.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 128,000 - 240,000 annually

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Finance, Engineering, or a related field.
•3+ years of finance industry experience focused on BSA/AML, OFAC, or fraud modeling/analytics.
•Strong statistical/data analytical skills, including data quality validation and predictive modeling experience with SQL and Python.
•Knowledge of traditional databases, cloud-based computing, and distributed computing to support AML model development.
•Proven ability to lead AML governance initiatives such as risk assessments and internal/external audits and regulatory requirements.
