Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform boots-on safety oversight by identifying and correcting workplace hazards and unsafe conditions, and supporting the implementation and compliance of site-specific safety policies.
  • •Monitor employee exposure to job and chemical hazards under OSHA permissible exposure limits and assist with job hazard analysis and PPE assessments.
  • •Support safety and investigation activities, including accident/mishap investigations and completion of safety surveys using inspection forms to confirm safe work practices.
  • •Manage environmental compliance activities, including RCRA hazardous waste handling, storage, labeling, logging, and hazardous waste/material storage area inspections.
  • •Support spill prevention and stormwater compliance, including storm water inspections, implementing SPCC countermeasures, and assisting waste shipments and compliance audits.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
  • •2+ years of experience implementing and overseeing aspects of an environmental, health, and safety program.
  • •Experience implementing and/or developing health and safety plans and policies.
  • •Experience in managing hazardous waste storage and satellite accumulation areas.
  • •Ability to work overtime and weekends when needed and lift up to 30 lbs unassisted.
