Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide trusted, confidential HR business partnership to BFS line managers, advising on performance management, disciplinary matters, grievances, and appeals.
  • •Support line managers and the Wellness Facility on absence topics including long-term sick leave, maternity/paternity/parental leave, and flexible working requests.
  • •Manage in-store capability issues (including performance improvement plans) and lead fair and consistent Fairplay investigations and complaints to conclusion.
  • •Liaise with Legal on complex HR issues and stay current on changes to employment law affecting the business and employees.
  • •Support talent acquisition and people development through recruitment assistance, succession planning, PDP setup, mini HR audits, coaching on people topics, and communication/engagement activities.

Key Requirements

  • •HR and training experience, ideally in a retail or multisite environment.
  • •Proven ability to handle complex employee relations issues (performance management, disciplinary/grievances, and appeals).
  • •Excellent and proven knowledge of employment law.
  • •Proven training and coaching experience.
  • •Project management experience; preferably CIPD qualified (or working towards).
