Key Responsibilities

  • •Own escalated and complex local datacenter incidents, identifying technical causes across hardware, cabling, rack, power, ports/connectivity, storage/backup, networking, and security components.
  • •Coordinate local service restoration actions and align with remote operations, providers, customer contacts, facility teams, security teams, vendors, and architecture/hardware stakeholders.
  • •Perform on-site technical evaluations for physical infrastructure issues (e.g., hardware faults, recurring outages, temperature/airflow deviations, power/PDU issues, cable route faults, port issues, fiber/LWL problems, incomplete documentation).
  • •Plan, coordinate, and support standard and non-standard changes and firmware/patch/lifecycle measures for local infrastructure components, including dependency checks, rollback plans, execution, documentation, and follow-up verification.
  • •Support build-and-operate activities for managed compute/storage/backup and managed network & security, including installation, hardware configuration, cabling/power requirements, component swaps, hardening, decommissioning, and DR support.

Key Requirements

  • •Multi-year experience troubleshooting and providing onsite datacenter/network/system/hardware/storage/backup or monitoring support within an ICT organization.
  • •Practical experience with physical datacenter infrastructure including rack & stack, cabling, labeling, hardware replacement, remote hands, IMACD, and vendor coordination.
  • •Experience handling escalated tickets with technical analysis, change support, and problem-management contribution with root-cause-oriented fault assessment.
  • •Working knowledge of structured cabling and fiber technologies in data-center environments, including basic familiarity with quality testing (e.g., OTDR/BER) if applicable.
  • •Confident use of ticketing/ITSM tools and the ability to maintain accurate operational and infrastructure documentation (ITSM, SOPs, CMDB, knowledge base).
