Job Summary

We are seeking a Skilled Machinist to operate 5-axis machines (Doosan, Mazak, Matsuura) on complex aluminium and stainless fabrications. You’ll assist setting up and proving out programs with Engineers, manage tooling to meet tolerances, perform dimensional checks, and maintain core housekeeping. The role is onsite in Wolverhampton with rotating shifts and strong opportunities for professional development in aerospace/manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities

•Day to day running of 5 axis machine centre (Doosan, Mazak & Matsuura).
•Machining of complex aluminium and stainless fabrications.
•Aid the setting up and proving out of programs with Engineers.
•Support and manage the machine tooling to best achieve drawing tolerances.
•Carry out dimensional checks using the designated tools as defined by each program and Op sheet.

Key Requirements

•Recognized engineering apprenticeship e.g. City & Guilds/ BTEC Level 3 or equivalent.
•Good level of numeracy and literacy.
•Good level of IT skills.
•Experience with 5 axis machine centres (Doosan, Mazak, Matsuura).
•PC-DMIS knowledge advantageous; ability to perform self-inspection and use various measuring/inspection techniques.
