Key Responsibilities

  • •Contribute to architecture-to-production delivery of core Elasticsearch Security initiatives, including technical design and execution for major security components.
  • •Develop foundational security models and ensure robust data isolation in shared infrastructure supporting different customers.
  • •Optimize security performance at scale in distributed systems environments.
  • •Apply cryptographic solutions for customer use cases and monitor security best practices across authentication, identity management, and data access management.
  • •Drive vulnerability management with the InfoSec team and use AI-driven tools to automate vulnerability triage, prioritization, and preliminary investigation.

Key Requirements

  • •Deep knowledge of Java internals and JVM memory management, including concurrency models and writing high-performance, thread-safe, lock-free code.
  • •Experience building authorization systems that scale under high concurrency with large permission sets and consistent distributed authorization decisions.
  • •Strong understanding of distributed systems security, including zero-trust transport and cluster state propagation.
  • •Deep knowledge of edge identity protocols such as OAuth 2.0 and SAML.
  • •Proven ability to use AI to accelerate development and debugging, while collaborating to deliver outcomes.
