Key Responsibilities

  • •Assist the molder and support large casting molding and finishing operations, including repairing ladles and handling flasks/bottom boards/upsets.
  • •Perform casting steps such as pouring molds, shaking out molds, and operating automated shake-out equipment plus core knockout.
  • •Grind large castings and operate shot-blast equipment to remove fins, parting lines, sprues, risers, gates, and other surface irregularities.
  • •Transport materials/metal using gas-operated fork truck/hand truck and operate power sweeper.
  • •Use required grinding equipment and make simple machine adjustments; patch surface imperfections within Q.C. standards and refer unusual situations to supervision.

Key Requirements

  • •Minimum of six (6) months manufacturing experience.
  • •High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) certificate.

  • •No relocation benefit is offered; candidates must reside within the immediate geographic area (50 miles) of Syracuse, NY.
  • •Perform duties throughout large casting molding and finishing areas as part of the role’s responsibilities.
