Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide technical inputs for the delivery of complex drainage and/or flood engineering projects across major infrastructure and development sectors.
  • •Deliver drainage designs, stormwater management plans, and hydraulic assessments for local council clients and major infrastructure projects.
  • •Develop hydrologic and hydraulic analysis using tools such as Civil 3D, 12D, TUFLOW, DRAINS, URBS, RORB, XP-Rafts, and WBNM.
  • •Produce high-quality technical and non-technical report writing, ensuring practical, compliant outcomes aligned with Australian standards and guidelines.
  • •Support project delivery through technical guidance, mentoring and quality assurance, and engage clients, regulators, and stakeholders with trusted technical advice.

Key Requirements

  • •Recognised engineering experience in drainage and/or flooding, including hydrologic modelling and/or assessments (circa 5–15 years+).
  • •Demonstrated experience planning, hydraulic assessing, and designing stormwater/drainage networks, or conducting hydrologic modelling and assessments.
  • •Confident software skills including Civil 3D or 12d, and/or TUFLOW, plus tools such as URBS, XP-Rafts, QGIS and/or ArcGIS.
  • •RPEQ or the ability to apply for RPEQ preferred.
  • •Ability to provide technical leadership, design review, mentoring, and stakeholder engagement with clients and regulators.
