Job Summary

Collaborate with Account Executives to validate technical requirements, design bespoke architectures, and deliver PoCs for Cloudflare’s Security, Networking, and Developer Platforms. Serve as a trusted technical advisor through the full customer lifecycle, align technical solutions with business goals, drive platform adoption and expansion, and leverage AI-assisted workflows to automate routine tasks while focusing on strategic advisory.

Job Function: Solutions Engineering & Sales Engineering

Key Responsibilities

•Technical Validation: Partner with Account Executives to lead technical discovery, build bespoke architectures, and deliver product demonstrations and PoCs across Cloudflare’s portfolio.
•Trusted Advisory: Maintain deep, ongoing relationships with key stakeholders from onboarding through renewal and expansion.
•Strategic Alignment: Own long-term technical relationships to ensure alignment between evolving business goals and the product roadmap.
•Commercial Accountability & Expansion: Manage a quota tied to new business and ongoing growth, driving platform adoption and identifying cross-sell/up-sell opportunities; lead QBRs for ROI demonstrations.
•AI Orchestration & Workflow Automation: Act as an AI-Augmented engineer, using AI agents and internal platforms to automate routine tasks and reclaim time for strategic advisory.

Key Requirements

•Experience in a customer-facing technical role (Solutions Engineering, Customer Engineering, Sales Engineering, or Forward Deployed Engineer)
•Experience working with hyperscaler ecosystems or cybersecurity vendors
•Broad technical expertise in web security, networking (routing, DNS, DDoS mitigation), cloud infrastructure, and enterprise architecture
•Commercial mindset with experience in quota-carrying or revenue-aligned roles and understanding SaaS metrics
•Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with ability to bridge technical details and C-suite business strategy
