Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform scheduled preventative maintenance (PM), DOT inspections, and follow-up repairs on vehicles in a mobile/field environment.
  • •Diagnose, adjust, and repair electrical/brake/cooling systems and other truck equipment, including using test instruments and road testing.
  • •Independently manage parts inventory and equipment on the company-issued service truck, including periodic reconciliation.
  • •Maintain and operate the service vehicle, conduct safety checks, and complete pre-/post-trip inspections.
  • •Document repairs and complete DOT forms/Repair Orders (including uploading photos) in accordance with company standards.

Key Requirements

  • •High School Diploma/GED and 3 years’ experience in a related field (or alternative equivalent experience/education).
  • •Possess and supply a set of hand tools necessary to perform the job duties.
  • •Obtain Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months.
  • •Must be able to successfully complete and pass DOT-regulated pre-employment background screening and DOT physical prior to employment.
  • •Be at least 21 years or older and hold a valid driver’s license with ability to maintain a Driver Qualification File.
