Job Summary

Provide technical leadership and subject-matter expertise for offshore geotechnical projects in the Oil & Gas sector. Plan, specify, manage, and execute offshore geotechnical site investigations, including vessel campaigns and lab testing, and develop offshore ground models from multidisciplinary datasets. Lead geotechnical design and assessment for offshore foundations and contribute specialist input for subsea pipelines, flowlines, umbilicals, and cables while managing delivery, reporting, and client relationships.

Key Responsibilities

•Provide technical leadership and subject matter expertise across offshore geotechnical engineering projects in the Oil & Gas sector.
•Lead offshore geotechnical site investigation planning, specification, management, and execution, including offshore vessel campaigns, sampling, and laboratory testing programs.
•Process, interpret, and integrate geotechnical, geological, and geophysical datasets to develop robust offshore ground models.
•Lead geotechnical design and assessment for offshore foundations and provide specialist input for subsea pipelines, flowlines, umbilicals, and cables.
•Act as Project Manager and/or Technical Lead to ensure delivery to scope, budget, and schedule, while preparing client deliverables and mentoring junior engineers.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or a related discipline (postgraduate qualifications highly regarded).
•Extensive experience in offshore geotechnical engineering, ideally within consulting environments supporting Oil & Gas developments.
•Demonstrated experience leading offshore geotechnical investigations and site characterisation programmes.
•Strong expertise in offshore foundation design, soil-structure interaction, and subsea infrastructure assessments.
•Knowledge of offshore industry standards and recommended practices including API, ISO, and DNV frameworks.
