Key Responsibilities

  • •Design power distribution, generation, and substation systems for industrial plants, pump stations, and water treatment facilities.
  • •Perform load calculations and use modelling tools to size transformers, generators, switchgear, MCCs, and other electrical equipment.
  • •Develop electrical models using ETAP and EasyPower for power flow, short circuit, arc flash, and harmonics analysis.
  • •Produce detailed drawings and diagrams, including single-line, three-line, grounding layouts, and control schematics.
  • •Lead internal technical reviews and ensure compliance with codes and standards such as CEC, IEEE, NFPA, and NEMA.

Salary: CAD 135,200 - 179,100 annually

Key Requirements

  • •10+ years of electrical consulting design experience in the industrial sector
  • •Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering; P.Eng designation in British Columbia
  • •Expertise in low- and medium-voltage systems, including switchgear, transformers, MCCs, and VFDs
  • •Proficiency in ETAP, SKM, or EasyPower for power system studies
  • •Knowledge of industrial automation and communication protocols (Profinet, Modbus TCP/IP, DeviceNet)
