Key Responsibilities

•Perform scheduled preventive maintenance (PM) and DOT inspections, including follow-up repairs on light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles in a mobile/field environment.
•Diagnose, adjust, and repair truck equipment systems (electrical/brake/cooling, starters/alternators, engine electronics, diesel steering, engines, transmissions, clutches, differentials, and air conditioning).
•Inspect, test, and road test vehicles to diagnose malfunctions using test instruments such as handheld computers and pressure gauges.
•Independently manage parts inventory and equipment on the company-issued service truck, including reconciliation.
•Document repairs and complete DOT forms and other documentation using the company-issued iOS device and TRAIT app while following safety and environmental regulations (OSHA, EPA, DOT).

Key Requirements

•High school diploma/GED and 3 years’ experience in a related field (or equivalent combination such as additional education/certification or 5 years’ experience).
•Possess and supply the hand tools necessary to perform the job.
•Obtain Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification T8 (PMI) within eighteen (18) months.
•Pass DOT-regulated pre-employment background screening and DOT physical prior to employment.
•Hold a current and valid DOT medical card and maintain a valid state-of-residence driver’s license; candidates must be at least 21 years or older.
