Design and develop distributed KV caching and storage systems, including Redis-compatible services, with a focus on low-latency, high-throughput, and high-availability. Research and land new technologies including ZNS SSD, io_uring, RDMA/CXL, and AI+DB.

Key Responsibilities

•Design and develop core KV caching and storage systems, including distributed caching and Redis-compatible KV storage, for low latency, high throughput, and high availability.
•Build planet-scale reliability by leading or contributing to HA architecture, failure isolation, multi-AZ/multi-region disaster recovery, and stability engineering for always-on workloads.
•Drive compute/storage efficiency improvements across CPU, memory, IO, and network, including cache hierarchy design and read/write amplification reductions.
•Build production-grade operations by implementing automated orchestration (provisioning, scaling, placement, scheduling) and monitoring (tracing, profiling, incident response runbooks).
•Evolve capabilities such as bulkload, backup & restore, point-in-time recovery, tiered storage, and integrations with upstream/downstream data systems.

Key Requirements

•BS or higher in Computer Science (or related) or equivalent practical experience.
•Strong coding skills in one or more languages (C, C++, Java, Go, Python, Rust) in a Linux environment.
•Solid fundamentals in distributed systems, database/storage principles, networking, and multi-threaded programming with strong debugging and performance analysis.
•Hands-on experience building or operating large-scale distributed systems with high QPS/concurrency and demonstrated stability/performance/cost improvements.
•Clear, logical thinking with a product-oriented mindset, self-driven initiative, and strong project management skills.
