Key Responsibilities

  • •Ensure full compliance of the project with national environmental and social regulations, IFC Performance Standards, Equator Principles, and ACWA Power ESG policies.
  • •Coordinate ESIA preparation/review/submission (including stakeholder consultations and public disclosure) and lead ESMP development and implementation (including CESMPs, Waste Management Plans, and BAPs).
  • •Design and execute E&S monitoring programs and compile internal/external reports for ACWA Power, government authorities, and lenders.
  • •Serve as the focal point for IFIs and support lender audits/site visits, responses to non-compliance findings, and corrective actions.
  • •Oversee contractor/subcontractor E&S compliance (including CESMP approvals) and manage the Grievance Redress Mechanism for affected communities and workers.

Key Requirements

  • •Masters in Environmental and Social Science/Study/Engineering.
  • •10+ years of experience developing Environmental and Social Management Systems and mitigation planning with community engagement.
  • •Experience applying IFC Environmental and Social Performance Standards and other international standards (e.g., OGP, ILO Convention).
  • •Strong experience identifying and mapping key stakeholder groups and managing grievances/grievance systems.
  • •ISO-14001:2015 Lead Auditor course (preferable) and strong record building alignment across multiple stakeholders.
