Key Responsibilities

  • •Own deep performance analysis and optimization across the blockchain node stack, diagnosing root causes to reduce infrastructure spend while maintaining reliability SLOs.
  • •Build observability, health-check, and automated failover capabilities so degradation is detected and handled proactively.
  • •Drive right-sizing across the node fleet by profiling workloads, identifying over-provisioned instances, and establishing capacity models balancing cost and reliability headroom.
  • •Partner with protocol integration, wallet, and indexer teams to extend performance improvements across the full blockchain platform stack.
  • •Define and implement SLOs/SLIs for node services, and support protocol upgrades with performance-first validation and regression testing.

Key Requirements

  • •5+ years of software engineering experience with systems-level performance analysis, profiling, and optimization in production environments.
  • •Hands-on experience operating distributed systems at scale, diagnosing resource bottlenecks, tuning performance, and managing capacity across workloads.
  • •Backend programming proficiency (Go preferred) and systems tooling for profiling, tracing, and observability (e.g., pprof, Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana).
  • •Proven ability to reduce infrastructure costs through engineering optimization while maintaining reliability, with measurable results.
  • •Strong preference for experience with blockchain nodes, consensus protocols, or crypto infrastructure, including load and upgrade behavior.
