Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform scheduled preventative maintenance (PM) and DOT inspections, including follow-up repairs on light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles in a mobile/field environment.
  • •Diagnose, adjust, and repair complex truck systems (electrical/brake/cooling, starters/alternators, engine electronics, steering systems, engines, transmissions, differentials, and more).
  • •Inspect, test, and road test vehicles to diagnose malfunctions; use handheld computers and pressure gauges to support diagnostics.
  • •Independently manage parts inventory and equipment on a company-issued service truck, including periodic reconciliation and maintenance of vehicle safety checks.
  • •Document work on repair orders (RO) using a company-issued iOS device and proprietary TRAIT application; complete DOT forms and communicate with management for approvals.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma/GED and 3 years of related experience (or alternative equivalent combination, such as additional degree/certification or 5 years experience).
  • •At least 3 years of experience with refrigerated equipment.
  • •Possess and supply a set of hand tools necessary to perform required job duties.
  • •Be able to successfully complete DOT-regulated pre-employment background screening and DOT physical (or submit a valid DOT medical card with sufficient remaining validity).
  • •Obtain REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS within 18 months, including ASE T8 (PMI).
