Job Summary

Join Addepar’s AI Platform team as a Fullstack Engineer building features across backend services and frontend interfaces. You’ll develop Python-based microservices, APIs, and real-time UI components (Svelte) powering the AI-powered Addison assistant, work with databases (MySQL/PostgreSQL/DynamoDB/Redis), WebSocket streaming, and ensure quality through automated testing in a fast-moving, collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

•Build and maintain backend services powering AI Platform products with Python or other modern backend languages.
•Develop and evolve REST APIs with proper request validation, error handling, and clear frontend-backend contracts.
•Work with relational and NoSQL data models (MySQL, PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, Redis) and design asynchronous processing flows using queues/workers.
•Create real-time UI features for conversational interfaces (chat streaming, incremental rendering, dynamic layouts) and manage WebSocket pipelines.
•Write strong automated tests (unit and integration) and contribute to CI quality gates while debugging production issues across service and UI boundaries.

Key Requirements

•3+ years of professional fullstack development in a production environment
•Proficiency in at least one production backend language (Python, Go, Java, or C++) and ability to work across a polyglot environment.
•Strong knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript and a modern UI framework (Svelte preferred; React, Angular, or Vue acceptable).
•Experience building and maintaining REST APIs in a production context, including API contracts and error handling.
•Experience with relational and/or NoSQL data stores (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, Redis) and asynchronous processing patterns (queues/workers).
