Key Responsibilities

•Control and operate the screed on the asphalt paving machine.
•Plan and set up the job with foreman/paver operator by marking and measuring passes.
•Determine yield of a truckload of material and maintain steady job pace through communication.
•Monitor mat, edges, joints, and overall job quality during paving.
•Operate heavy equipment as needed and assist labor crew with shoveling, raking, and compacting asphalt materials.

Key Requirements

•Must be a current member or able to join Operators#701.
•Must possess a valid driver’s license.

•Must pass pre-employment physical exam and pre-employment controlled substance testing.
