Key Responsibilities

  • •Assist with system compliance, auditing, security plan development, and delivering information systems security education and awareness.
  • •Investigate information system security violations and help prepare reports with corrective and preventative actions.
  • •Interface with ISSOs and ISSMs to ensure adherence to NISPOM Chapter 8, DAAPM, and JSIG policies.
  • •Support security sustainment activities such as hardware/software change management, account management, media protection, user interface, and file transfers.

Key Requirements

  • •Typically requires a Bachelors Degree and minimum 2 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field.
  • •Must be eligible to participate in the SkillBridge fellowship per DoD Instruction 1322.29 and projected to receive an honorable discharge.
  • •Must have all TAP and transition requirements completed prior to the start date, and receive approval from Unit Commander or O4+.
  • •U.S. citizenship is required, and an active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to the start date (active and existing required on day 1).
  • •Experience with cybersecurity, systems security or hardening, compliance-based auditing using RMF/DAAPM/JSIG/NISPOM (and related standards), and/or supporting computer technologies and environments.
