Job Summary

Support classified computing environments 100% onsite by partnering with Information System Security Officers (ISSO) and Information Systems Security Managers (ISSM). Help ensure compliance with NISPOM Chapter 8, DAAPM, and JSIG by assisting with system compliance and auditing, contributing to security plan development, and delivering security education and awareness. Investigate potential security violations and help prepare corrective and preventative action reports, including supporting security sustainment activities.

Key Responsibilities

•Assist with system compliance, auditing, security plan development, and delivering information systems security education and awareness.
•Investigate information system security violations and help prepare reports with corrective and preventative actions.
•Interface with ISSOs and ISSMs to ensure adherence to NISPOM Chapter 8, DAAPM, and JSIG policies.
•Support security sustainment activities such as hardware/software change management, account management, media protection, user interface, and file transfers.

Key Requirements

•Typically requires a Bachelors Degree and minimum 2 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field.
•Must be eligible to participate in the SkillBridge fellowship per DoD Instruction 1322.29 and projected to receive an honorable discharge.
•Must have all TAP and transition requirements completed prior to the start date, and receive approval from Unit Commander or O4+.
•U.S. citizenship is required, and an active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to the start date (active and existing required on day 1).
•Experience with cybersecurity, systems security or hardening, compliance-based auditing using RMF/DAAPM/JSIG/NISPOM (and related standards), and/or supporting computer technologies and environments.
