Key Responsibilities

  • •Conduct comprehensive assessments with immigrant families to identify needs, barriers, and appropriate services.
  • •Assist asylum-seeking families in accessing and understanding public benefits such as Medicaid, All Kids, VTTC, and WIC.
  • •Orient participants to the healthcare system, including making appointments, arranging transportation, and communicating with physicians.
  • •Provide education/orientation to families regarding their new surroundings in Chicago and help schedule and attend appointments with social service and medical providers.
  • •Maintain timely and accurate client files, case notes, and reporting records; participate in department meetings and program trainings.

Key Requirements

  • •Provide case management services for immigrant/asylum seeking families, including public benefits and service referrals.
  • •Ability to drive a minivan and/or 15-passenger van; valid drivers license and ability to pass MVR standards.
  • •Mature and personal Christian faith and ability to affirm/acknowledge World Relief’s core beliefs and statement of faith.
  • •Experience and/or training working with traumatized populations or trauma-informed care.
  • •Proficient in Microsoft Office and able to maintain accurate client files, case notes, and reporting records.
