Key Responsibilities

  • •Work as part of an offshore rope access team performing construction, maintenance, and repair activities in confined spaces and at heights.
  • •Ensure all equipment is fit-for-purpose and quarantine defective materials.
  • •Comply with Permit to Work (PTW) and relevant legal standards, specifications, rules, and regulations, and oversee risk and safety assessment implementation with safety personnel.
  • •Perform QA/QC in the field of operations, complete required paperwork/records, and liaise with client and site safety personnel.
  • •Report accidents and near misses, participate in toolbox talks and incident investigations, and maintain PPE and life-saving rules while caring for the environment.

Key Requirements

  • •IRATA rope access certification (Level I, II or III).
  • •Knowledge of the IRATA Code of Practice, TACS, and incident/reporting expectations for rope access activities.
  • •Expected training/certifications include H2S Alive, Offshore Safety Regulatory Awareness, NL Fall Protection, NL Confined Space Entry, Rigging/Slinging/Banksman, and Standard First Aid.
  • •Ability to work safely at heights and in confined spaces, including using proper fall arrest procedures.
  • •Must pass site-specific drug and alcohol testing and be able to lift/carry up to 50 lbs and work 12-hour shifts in varying temperatures.
