Job Summary

Lead the North America privacy advisory function, reporting into Global Cyber and Americas Privacy leadership, and serve as the lead attorney within the Global Privacy and Data Trust Office. Provide privacy and cyber legal advice to business, Law & Compliance, risk, cybersecurity, and IT; negotiate high-risk enterprise privacy/data protection agreements; oversee privacy/security incidents; and set strategic priorities while coaching and developing a high-performing team.

Key Responsibilities

•Provide privacy and cyber legal advice to business, Law & Compliance, risk, cybersecurity, and internal stakeholders.
•Manage and lead a high-performing North America privacy advisory team with coaching and risk-based guidance.
•Negotiate high-risk enterprise client privacy and data protection agreements.
•Oversee and provide legal advice on privacy and security incidents.
•Set strategic direction and priorities for North America privacy advisory, including benchmarks and reporting/metrics.

Key Requirements

•Licensed attorney with at least 7 years of privacy experience in an in-house environment with increasing responsibility.
•Strong experience with privacy and cyber laws, including CCPA, GLBA, PIPEDA, and NYDFS.
•Experience negotiating high-stakes privacy and data protection agreements, especially for enterprise clients.
•Experience leading data breach response from investigation through notification and regulator communications.
•Experience managing a high-performing team, coaching members, and driving improvements.
