Job Summary

Build and scale the research discipline across a global product organization. Define the research operating model, tooling/procurement, compliance standards, and participant-sourcing approach. Own a pillar’s 1–2 year research agenda and lead the most strategic studies, partnering with design, product, and engineering leaders. Also grow and coach an embedded team of researchers across other pillars, raising the craft bar across EPD.

Key Responsibilities

•Co-create and stand up the research operating model across EPD, including intake, decision rights, rituals, and work flow between pillars.
•Own a pillar’s research strategy and agenda (1–2 year horizon), identifying highest-risk assumptions and sequencing investment.
•Personally lead the most strategic, ambiguous, or high-stakes studies and synthesize findings into reusable frameworks.
•Build, grow, and coach an embedded team of researchers across other pillars using the player–coach approach.
•Define research craft standards and scale research infrastructure (participant panels, incentives, repositories, longitudinal programs) with standardized quality practices.

Key Requirements

•8–12+ years of UX research experience, including leading research in complex product environments.
•Proven ability to define multi-quarter research strategy and influence senior product decisions.
•Deep craft across generative, evaluative, and mixed-methods research, with comfort defending method trade-offs.
•Experience managing and growing a team of researchers (hiring, performance, growth).
•Ability to design how a research function runs at scale, including tooling/vendor decisions, compliance, and participant-sourcing models.
