Key Responsibilities

  • •Conduct opening and closing procedures of building, including inspection of rooftop and assigned galleries to ensure safety before opening to the public
  • •Perform regular patrols of the assigned area and report safety concerns to the supervisor
  • •Ensure public, staff, and contractors adhere to security rules to prevent theft, fire, damage, and injury
  • •Monitor and report safety conditions and CCTV activity; assist with elevator operation when required
  • •Complete daily logs and security reports; respond to emergencies and incidents as needed

Key Requirements

  • •New York State Guard certificate
  • •High school diploma or equivalent
  • •Minimum of two years security guard work or customer service experience (museum context preferred)

  • •Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to remain calm under pressure
