Key Responsibilities

  • •Initiate and drive applied science initiatives to completion to improve Trust & Safety across the Thumbtack platform.
  • •Architect and deploy machine learning systems to production to enhance spam and fraud detection, policy enforcement, and platform security.
  • •Design and execute experiments to evaluate new models and strategies for trust and safety metrics.
  • •Analyze structured and unstructured data and observational and experimental data related to user and pro behavior and platform interactions.
  • •Collaborate with engineering, product, and operations teams to define problems, implement models, monitor performance, and improve results.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 144,200 - 219,500 annually

Key Requirements

  • •Expert knowledge of machine learning techniques, including classification, anomaly detection, and natural language processing (NLP).
  • •Ability to read, write, and debug code in programming languages such as Python.
  • •Strong knowledge of probability and statistics, including experimental design, optimization, and causal inference.
  • •Demonstrated ability to create and drive technical and impactful roadmaps and lead execution.
