Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform welding repairs of piping, plant, and equipment, including fabrication of skip buckets
  • •Weld using SMAW for fabrications and pipe work
  • •Weld for manufacturing and modification of gangways, cradles, and other yard-related equipment and sheet metal jobs
  • •Perform welding for modification of ship lift platform structures, STC platform structures, grating, and rails
  • •Ensure safe usage of company equipment/tools, control material wastage, maintain housekeeping, and work within allocated timescales; attend required training

Key Requirements

  • •SMAW welding capability for fabrications and pipe work
  • •Ability to perform welding for manufacturing and modification of gangways, cradles, and yard equipment
  • •Ensure materials are of the required standard prior to use and report damages when required
  • •Maintain safe usage of company equipment/tools and control material wastage
  • •Maintain good working relationships with workers, foremen, supervisors, and management
