Job Summary

Provide independent oversight of operational risk across assigned business functions as part of second line of defense. Conduct credible challenges of risk and control self-assessments, process maps, KRIs, issue and incident management, and operational loss events. Support third-party risk assessments and change risk reviews, facilitate workshops, and influence risk-informed decisions while delivering regulatory-ready reporting. Identify opportunities to use automation and AI to strengthen continuous monitoring and oversight efficiency.

•Independently assess operational risk and control effectiveness across assigned businesses/functions.
•Review and challenge RCSAs, process maps, and control effectiveness; opine on inherent/residual risk, gaps, and remediation plans.
•Evaluate KRIs, thresholds, triggers, and monitor breaches/trends against risk appetite and tolerance.
•Oversee issue and incident management, including client-impacting events; analyze root cause and remediation.
•Provide independent challenge for change risk and third-party risk management assessments; support reporting, workshops, and integration of automation/AI to improve oversight efficiency.

Key Requirements

•Ability to articulate connections across risk programs and influence stakeholders using risk data in business decision-making.
•Strong communication, collaboration, and project management skills to drive transformation and manage multiple initiatives.
