Job Summary

Install, commission, diagnose, repair, and start up commercial HVAC systems at customer sites. Provide on-site customer training and technical support, ensure safety and compliance, and assist with servicing equipment—including work on direct digital control systems—while traveling regionally with occasional overnight stays.

•Install, commission, diagnose, repair, and start up HVAC systems using knowledge of air conditioning theory, piping, air distribution, controls, and mechanical layouts.
•Plan and complete assigned projects and activities in a timely manner.
•Interpret construction drawings, plans, and specifications; mount, hang, fit, and install equipment and systems.
•Perform site surveys, replacements, modifications, and start-up; coordinate on-site work and with other trades as needed.
•Maintain inventory/equipment and document work (time, progress, duration, paperwork) and provide customer training and technical support.

Travel: Low travel

Key Requirements

•High school diploma or equivalent and typically 2-5 years of experience in commercial HVAC installation (technical school/formal training preferred).
•Operating knowledge of Microsoft Office and proficiency with handheld devices (e.g., smartphone, iPad).
•Preferred state contractor licenses (e.g., HVAC Journeyman, Boiler Operator, Gas Installer).
•Valid driver’s license for at least 12 months with no major/frequent violations in the previous 3 years.
•Ability to work overtime/weekends as required and meet safety/environmental physical requirements for HVAC installation work.
