Key Responsibilities

  • •Own domain-specific hardware architecture, component selection, and detailed mechanical, electrical, optical, and test engineering.
  • •Transition and scale hardware from low-volume prototypes and EDUs through EMD into high-rate production.
  • •Lead hardware preparation, technical artifacts, and clear-to-build criteria for milestones including Hardware SRR, PDR, CDR, and MRR.
  • •Own hardware-side New Product Introduction (NPI) build planning, coordination, inventory, and assembly for EDU and EMD-1 for field testing and DVT.
  • •Architect, build, and ruggedize manufacturing and optical test equipment and define/track hardware V+V metrics; oversee hardware sustainment and CI roadmap.

Key Requirements

  • •Degree in a technical field such as mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, optical engineering, systems engineering, physics, or a hard science.
  • •8+ years developing and deploying complex electromechanical, electro-optical, or active sensing systems.
  • •Deep engineering breadth across mechanical, electrical, optical, and test, with experience in system design, architecture definition, and performance modeling.
  • •Proven experience managing New Product Introduction (NPI) and transitioning hardware scaling or sustainment at scale.
  • •Ability to lead cross-functional engineering teams and obtain and hold a U.S. security clearance.
